Sentinel (Also known as Program Plus)
BROWN EXTRA SMALL IN STOCK: FOR REMAINING SKU'S NEXT CLOSEST ALTERNATIVE IS SENTINEL SPECTRUM
SENTINEL, (with Milbemycin oxime and Lufenuron; Also known as PROGRAM PLUS) is a monthly oral preventive that guards against heartworms, adult roundworms, adult hookworms and whipworms, and prevents the development of flea eggs for dogs or puppies that are 4 weeks of age or older, and weighing more than 2 pounds.
There are four tablet strengths in color-coded packs (Brown, Green, White and Yellow) depending upon the dog’s weight. SENTINEL is given orally with a meal at the minimal dose of milbemycin oxime and lufenuron required per kg body weight. SENTINEL must be given at monthly intervals, preferably on the same date starting within 1 month of the beginning of the transmission season and continuing until 1 dose after its end. Where heartworm transmission is not seasonal SENTINEL is given throughout the year.
Lufenuron has been tested safely in dogs, including pregnant females, breeding males and females and puppies. Do not give SENTINEL to your pet if already giving an alternate heartworm medication.
SENTINEL does NOT kill adult fleas. If your pet has an existing flea condition, concurrent use of insecticides may be necessary for adequate control of adult fleas. Comfortis (with Spinosad) may be a good choice as it only kills adult fleas and would be an appropriate compliment to SENTINEL and it’s active ingredients.
