What Is Valuheart:
Valuheart is a monthly tablet given to your dog to prevent heartworm disease. It is the generic version of the Heartgard tablets. Valuheart eliminates the heartworm larvae that infect the dog during the previous month.

This medication should not be used on dogs under 6 weeks of age and not given to dogs that may be allergic to the medication. In addition your dog should be tested for Heartworms before going on this medication by a qualified veterinarian.

What happens if your dog misses a dose?
If your dog happens to miss a dose give it to your dog as soon as you remember unless it is close to the next scheduled dose. Do not give your dog a double dose of this medication to catch up for missed doses. If your dog misses more than two doses make sure you contact your veterinarian before giving the next dose to your dog.
What happens if I overdose the pet?
Seek emergency medical attention from a veterinary clinic as soon as possible. Some symptoms of overdose include but are not limited to diarrhea, in-coordination in dogs, and vomiting.
What other drugs will effect Valuheart?
Do not give this medication to your dog if they are already taking another heartworm medication.
Note: Valuheart only prevents heartworms. To treat for other intestinal worms such as roundworm, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms, a separate de-wormer will be required.
